Dragons Fundraising Evening Event

We have had a great response so far to the June 8th Dragons Invitational Tournament and we are now very pleased to announce that following the matches, there will be an evening of entertainment, hosted by comedian, author and Dragons Life Member, John Martin. The World Record holding comedian has been great friends with the team from our very first match. Giving his time from a very busy schedule, he has entertained us along with our special guest sporting speakers every year.The evening’s entertainment will also feature guest performances from RARE Studios. Based in Liverpool the charitable organisation provides quality, affordable, safe, professional performing arts training in Merseyside for people between the ages of 11 and 21 who are interested in progressing to further or higher education or employment in the industry.

Taking place at the leisure centre in Colwyn Bay, just a short distance from the days football matches at Parc Eirias, there will be raffles and auctions as we raise much-needed funds for various charities including the Dragons chosen charity, Make A Wish UK.

Here is your Main Event . . . .

The North Wales Dragons are very pleased to announce the details for one of our main events for 2013.

The Dragons will be welcoming seven other teams to take part in a 8 team, 7 a side tournament, taking place on June 8th raising funds and awareness for various charities. The Dragons, who this year are supporting the charity Make A Wish UK , have invited a few of our friends to join us for what should be a very enjoyable day.

The event will be taking place for the first time indoors at Colwyn Bay’s Parc Eirias stadium. Playing on the new 3g pitch, the teams will play seven matches each of 20 minutes as they compete in the North Wales Dragons Invitational Tournament. This will be the first time that the Dragons have played in the new centre of excellence of sport facilities in Colwyn Bay, and are looking forward to a bright future ahead with the Parc Eirias team.

In the upcoming weeks, we will be announcing the teams that are taking part in the invitational tournament and for which charities they will be raising funds an awareness for.

New Shorts Partner

The Dragons are pleased to announce a new partnership for the players shorts for 2013. British Touring Car Championships Team ES Racing will be featured on our shorts alongside the logo of this years chosen charity Make A Wish UK.

Chris James was made a Life Member of the Dragons last year, for his kind offer in allowing us advertising space on his car for the 2011 season, a gesture he repeated in 2012. We can now confirm that our badges will be back on the car for the Oulton Park races taking place on June 9th 2013. The BTCC is watched Worldwide with audiences of up to 1.35 billion, add this to average crowds of 35,000 at every UK event.
